The domestic meat slices were surprisingly found in the detection of clenbuterol Sibutro! Poison expert Yang Zonghai: Excessive intake of too much may increase cardiovascular disease risk

On the 15th of last month, the Taichung Municipal Government Food Safety Bureau conducted a test on the drug for commercially available meat and animal products. The test results showed that the domestic Taiwan Sugar Anxin Plum Blossom Pig Plum Blossom (Cyclone) contains Cimbuterol, which cannot be detected. The test value was 0.002ppm. It was punished according to the violation of the Food Safety Law and notified the operator to be removed from the shelves and suspended the sale. In response to this, Taitang issued a serious statement last night that the meat of Taitang Company has never purchased clenbuterol banned by the law. It has never been found to have been tested for drugs and clenbuterol. It was recommended that it was cross-contamination caused by outsourced slaughterers slaughtering other businessmen. Before the health unit's inspection results came out, all of the whole product was removed from the shelves.

What is clenbuterol?

I believe many people are familiar with the term "clanchbuterol". The Taiwan government announced that from January 1, 2021, the import of American pigs containing ractopamine and American beefs over 30 months old will be triggered in Taiwan society. What exactly is clenbuterol? Will eating be harmful to human health?

clenbuterol is a common name for "B-type receptor (β receptor-promoting agent, β -adrenergic receptor agents). The animal drug "Ractopamine" is one of them. This type of B-type receptor also includes dozens of Clontellol (disabled), Albuterol (disabled), Sibuterol (can be used as beef cattle feed in the United States, but not found in Taiwan). The purpose of use is to increase the weight of the animal, increase the lean meat ratio of the animal, and improve the breeding efficiency. Lectodopamine is a type of sympathetic neurotic agent. It was originally used to treat human asthma. After that, it was discovered that adding food to feed animals can promote protein synthesis and accelerate fat conversion and decomposition, making the animals more healthy.

Is it harmful to human health after taking it?

According to SGS Taiwan Experience Technology, the Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) of the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Taiwan currently has a weight of 1 microgram (µg) per kilogram of ADI, TFDA commissioned National Success University to conduct a health risk assessment on the safety of lecdopamine exposure to edible imported meats by the people. According to the evaluation results of the report, the current evaluation of the general public's dietary habits of all genders and ages in Taiwan. The maximum 95% exposure dose of liquefied dopamine is less than 10% of the daily ADI in Taiwan. For women who are in confinement, if they consume a pair of kidney and liver every day (actually they don’t eat that much), the exposure dose will only account for 89.9% of ADI, which is still lower than the daily ADI, and the risk is within an acceptable range. The report suggests reducing the intake of animals or liquefied pamine concentration to ensure the food safety of highly exposed groups.

Director of the Clinical Toxics Center of Linkou Chang Geng Hospital, said that Xibutro and Lectodopamine are homologous to type B receptors. Currently, only Lectodopamine is allowed to be detected in Taiwan, "Sibutro cannot be detected." Once excessive intake of Sibutro and Lecdopamine, it may cause symptoms such as vascular elongation, rapid heartbeat, and muscle tremor.
