Mirror: Trosad is in negotiations for renewal, Arsenal may still sell him this summer
According to the British media Mirror, the breakup between Trosad and his agent Josie Conhair has no direct connection with his uncertain future in Arsenal. Trosad has now signed with German DH Sports Entertainment agency, which has sparked speculation that he is actively seeking to leave the team.
However, it is understood that Trosad and his agent Conhair have terminated the cooperation with both parties, who are fighting health issues. The breakup was completely friendly, although Conhair had been leading negotiations with Arsenal on a potential contract renewal.
Trosad's current contract with Arsenal will last until 2026, but it is understood that Arsenal has a one-year renewal option and the club can officially activate it.
Trosad hopes to stay in Arsenal, but so far the negotiations on the new contract have been deadlocked and no positive results have been reached. The negotiations mainly revolve around a salary increase and are not sure that Trosad's contract will be extended, but no agreement has been reached so far.
It is understood that if a suitable offer is received, Arsenal may still consider selling Trosad this summer because there has been no breakthrough between the two sides.
Arsenal admires Real Madrid striker Rodrigo very much and knows that the latter may leave the team at a suitable price this summer because he has difficulty getting playing time in the Club World Cup under Xavi Alonso.
But to facilitate the deal, coupled with the possible signing of Crystal Palace striker Eze, and a top center, Arsenal may still need a considerable player sale before the transfer window is closed.
In terms of finance, Arsenal is in good condition and there is no risk of violating profit and sustainability rules, but if they are to continue investing considerable funds, they need to confirm the departure of some players for future financial records.
Sources said that the Saudi league still has positive interest in Trosad, and Jeddah United made an oral offer last summer but was rejected. In recent weeks, there have been tentative inquiries from Italy and Türkiye.
But at this stage, Arsenal has not received any specific proposals for Trosad, and he is currently part of Arteta's plan for next season.
Trosad scored 10 goals and 10 assists in 56 appearances in various competitions last season. His versatile attributes are regarded as a huge asset for Arsenal.
