Post: Crystal Palace plans to offer Walton a better contract, possibly adding a termination clause

According to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace plans to offer a better contract extension for midfielder Adam Walton, and may include a termination clause in the English contract, as the market value of the midfielder is rising.

Although Walton failed to be included in Tuchel's latest English national team roster, the German coach has sent him an encouragement message saying that he is not far from the national team. However, Walton's performance at Crystal Palace is still outstanding. In the game against Everton last Sunday, although Crystal Palace's unbeaten record was broken by Gralish's final kill, the 21-year-old Walton's performance was still eye-catching. Gallish even praised: "Adam Walton performed very well today, and I think he is the best player in the game."

Walton not only received recognition from Gallish, but also showed strong interest in him, the defending Premier League champions Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City. Tottenham tried to get in touch with him at the end of last season, and Real Madrid and Bayern have been paying attention to his performance. Walton transferred from Blackburn to Crystal Palace in 2024 for £18 million, and now his net worth is 75 million.

Although Walton is satisfied with his current situation at Crystal Palace, his contract expires only two years by next summer. Crystal Palace’s new athletic director Matt Hobbs is working to improve and protect the roster to meet the needs of head coach Glasner.

Crystal Palace is considering introducing Alkmaar's midfield genius Kees Smit, but Walton is still the team's core player. While negotiations on the new contract have not yet begun, they are expected to take place soon. Club chairman Steve Parish said he was open to players' transfers to higher-level clubs, provided that the conditions were appropriate and he hoped to make considerable profits from it.
