How to distinguish the differences between common cortex
The leather jackets on the market mainly include sheepskin, cowhide, pigskin and horse skin. The specific characteristics are as follows:
Sheepskin: The pores on the surface of the leather are flat and round, with small pores and arranged in fish scales. Generally, several pores form a group, the cortex is soft and very elastic.
Pig skin: The pores on the surface of the pig skin are round and thick, and they penetrate deeper into the leather in a slanted manner. The pores are generally arranged in a group of three pores. The skin surface shows many small triangles, which are less elastic and have thicker skin.
Cowhide: The pores on the surface of the cowhide are round, with tight and even pores; the pores on the surface of the buffalo leather are thicker than those on the cowhide, but the number of pores is sparse and the texture is not as delicate as that of the cowhide.
Horse skin: The pores on the surface of the horse skin are flat and round, clearer than sheepskin, the skin is harder, and the pores are arranged in a regular manner. Several pores form a group of arrangements, which feels thick and hard.
