According to Chongqing Radio and Television, owners of the Poly Kangqiao Community in Shapingba District, Chongqing reported that pets in the community died one after another.

On the morning of October 30, the owner, Uncle Wu, took his pet dog for a walk in the community. The pet dog suddenly fell to the ground and died soon after. "Foaming at the mouth, he kept struggling, and died soon." Uncle Wu said that just the day before, several pets died in the community, and it was a similar situation.

Another resident of the community said, "Both my two dogs died, and seven dogs died in the community before." According to the local pet hospital, the cause of death of the pet dogs was poisoning.

On November 5, employees of a pet store near the community introduced that they had also heard about the deaths of many cats and dogs in the community, " The onset of the disease was very fast, and the pet was already dead before the owners could bring it over. We don’t know what happened.”

Poly Kangqiao Community property management staff told reporters that the owners of the community have called the police after the incident, and the police are currently investigating.
