Individual/domestic animal experiments have been proven for the first time. Edamame flour is helpful in controlling weight

The health-care effects of edamame have been proven in domestic animal experiments for the first time. A research team led by Zhuang Guoxiang, associate professor at the Taipei Medical University School of Student Medicine, and the Qinan Branch of the Kaohsiung Agricultural Reform Center of the Agricultural Committee showed that after the dry edamame powder was added to the mouse feed, the weight of mice that were eaten with high-fat feed was controlled, which was helpful for controlling weight and reducing obesity symptoms, and there was a chance to become a new health care product in the future.

Zang Guoxiang said that this is a four-year plan. This year is the last year, the Qinan Branch of the Kaohsiung Agricultural Reform Center of the Agricultural Committee provides a variety of edamame powder raw materials as raw materials for experimental mice.

He said that not every edamame powder product is effective during the experiment. The final result was that the dry powder made of edamame "Kaohsiung No. 11" was used as a mouse feed additive, and the experiment results were most obvious. Regardless of mice that feed 30% single-cubic edamame flour products or 15% multi-cubic edamame flour products, they controlled for weight gain.

Zang Guoxiang said that the experiment is divided into two groups, one of which tests mice feed fat feed; the other is to add dry edamame powder to the feed high-fat feed. After 30 days of feeding, it was found that the weight of mice ate high-fat feed increased by 40%, becoming obese mice; however, mice ate high-fat feed added with dry edamame powder reduced their weight by 20% to 30%, obesity was inhibited, and their weight was similar to that of normal mice. The experiment found that adding a certain proportion of edamame flour mouse can inhibit weight gain.

Zang Guoxiang said that in addition, mice that only eat high-fat feed also have obesity graft syndromes such as high blood sugar, but if edamame powder is added to the feed, the blood sugar will also be closer to normal, which will also have significant improvements in the formation of fatty liver.

The dry edamame flour provided by the Qinan branch of the Kaohsiung Agricultural Reform Center has two forms, one is a single square, with only edamame drying powder; the other is a complex, with edamame flour added with certain plant ingredients. Zhuang Guoxiang said that if the addition of edamame flour to the mouse feed is to have a significant effect, the proportion of addition is very high. If a single-square edamame flour is added, more than 40% of the feed is to have a significant effect; if a complex feed is added, there is a significant difference as long as 15% is added.
