According to Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie, part of the floating clause for Elanga's transfer to Newcastle is said to be difficult to achieve.

Keith Downie wrote on social media: "The transfer of Elanga cost Newcastle 52 million + £3 million, but it is understood that floating clauses are difficult to achieve."
