Liverpool U21 coach Rob Page confirmed in an interview that the 17-year-old striker Will Wright will be absent for about two months due to a knee ligament injury.

Rob Page said: "There is no surgery, but he will be out for about two months. He is not the main ligament, but the medial ligament, so the situation is better than we originally expected."

Will Wright joined Liverpool from Salford City this summer window and played five games for the Liverpool youth team this season.
